This advisory is temporary in nature and specific to those in the Liquor industry in Nebraska.

On 3/27 /2020 the TTB issued an updated guidance that reflects the FDA’s guidance regarding production of hand sanitizer. The TTB removed any federal excise tax from ethanol used in the production of hand sanitizer, and changed their formulation recommendations to the FDA’s formulas. The guidance document has been updated to reflect that.
