Regarding Permanent Change of Station to Nebraska and shipment of alcohol with household goods.

The Commission has received a large number of requests for information on how to proceed with a move to the state for military stationed overseas. There is no permission required from the state of Nebraska to import alcohol for personal use into the state. This page can serve as a requested letter for transportation purposes.

Hardship Status Requests

Due to the recent flooding throughout the State of Nebraska any liquor license holder who has had damage to their premises is encouraged to contact the NLCC to discuss their license situation and what options are available to them.  Chapter 6, Section 020.04 allows for a hardship request to be submitted and can assist those who wish to keep their license active during this time of need.

Recently the Commission has received information that venues are advertising unlimited drinks at a set price.  Please be advised that these types of promotions are in violation of the Nebraska Liquor Control Act.

019.01U1 No licensee shall sell, or serve for on-premises consumption, an unlimited quantity of beer, wine, or spirits at a specific price.

Authorization letter to pick up product

 

Retail licensees sending a designee (not associated in any way to the licensee) to a wholesaler’s dock to pick up product must provide written authorization from the retail licensee to do so.  Please use this simple form as an example to use or to replicate for these purposes.         Support for this is:  LCC Chapter 6, 012.01 DOCK SALES

Pusuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. 53-117(9) it is the duty of the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission "to investigate the administration of laws in relation to alcoholic liquor in this and other states and to recommend to the Governor and through him or her to the Legislature amendments to the Act".
